July 22 TSA Championship

The Marlins traveled to Cary for the TSA championship on Saturday. The younger kids got us off to a great start, giving us a 100 point lead by the end of the morning session. The older kids added another 200 to the total, and we romped to an easy victory, closing out the University Club 1,518.5 to 1,235.5.
SEVEN OAKS MARLINS ARE 2017 TSA Champions!!!!!

Great swims by everyone. Here are a few that stood out.
The 7-8 girls won the medley and free relays.
​Davis Miller won the boys 6& under free.
Kate Kinlaw won the girls 6& under free and breast. ​
Devon Whitlock won the girls 7-8 free.
Jack Heuer won the boys 6 & under back.
Sommer Lea Murray won the girls 6 & under back.
Patrick Hemminger won the boys 6& under breast.
The 11-12 boys won the medley and free relays.
The 15-18 boys won the medley and free relays.
Ross Noble won the 11-12 boys 50 free, back and fly.
Stephen Lucht won the 15-18 boys free, back and fly.
Wallace Watkins won the 15-18 boys breast.
We also broke a few TSA records....
Susanna Savage, Devon Whitlock, Reagan Leary and Sophia Marks broke the 7-8 girls medley relay record by 3 1/2 seconds.
Ross Noble, Sam Watkins, Cole Venters and Mason Scott broke the 11-12 boys medley relay record by 2 seconds.
Ross Noble broke the 11-12 boys back record by half a second.
David Ireston-Brown, Stephen Lucht, Wallace Watkins, Jacob Phillps broke both the 15-18 boys medley relay by 1.24 seconds and the free relay by .64 seconds.

Great season for the Marlins, going 5-1 in our division, and once again winning the TSA!!! Go Marlins!!!

July 11 Meredith Townes

The Marlins hosted the Meredith Townes mud puppies last night, and came away with a 332.5-181.5 win, putting us at 5-0 for the season.
Double winners...
Patrick Hemminger, boys 6& under in the free and breast.
Triple winners...
Cole Heuer, boys 7-8 in the free, breast and fly.
Collin Camp, boys 9-10 in the free, back and fly.
Stephen Lucht, boys 15-18 in the free, back and fly.
Devon Whitlock, girls 7-8 in the free, back and breast.
Lindsay Kinlaw, girls 9-10 in the free, back and fly.
Caroline Fulcher, girls 15-18 in the free, back and breast.
It was a fast meet and we also had a few Seven Oaks records fall....
Cole Venters, Sam Watkins, Ross Noble and Mason Scott broke the pool and team records in the 11-12 boys free and medley relays.
Ross Noble broke the pool and team records in the 11-12 boys fly.
Mason Scott broke the team record in the 11-12 boys free.
Stephen Lucht broke the team record in the 15-18 boys free.
David Ierston Brown, Wallace Watkins, Jacob Phillips and Stephen Lucht broke the team record in the 15-18 boys free relay.

This was the last home meet for a number of our seniors, and they were honored for their outstanding contributions to the club over the years. They will be missed, but we wish them all the best with their college careers....

July 5 Northbrook

This week the Marlins traveled to Northbrook and in a rain shortened meet came away with a 348.50-120.5 win to put us at 4-0 for the season.

June 27 Greystone

Last night the Marlins hosted our friends and neighbors, the Greystone Gators. The meet ended with another victory, 321-193 putting us at 3-0 for the season.

June 20 Cary Park


The Marlins traveled to Cary Park this past week to take on the Sea Dragons. In a meet shortened by rain we won 240-161 to go 2-0 for the season. We also broke a couple of their pool records...

LIndsay Kinlaw broke the 9-10 Girls 25 free
Ross Noble broke the 11-12 50 boys back

June 13 Shepherds Vineyard


The Marlins kicked off the swim season against Shepherd's Vineyard, a big Cary team we lost to last year. With great performances in every age group, we edged them out 305-209 to go 1-0 for 2017.
